Medical Content Writing Services | Imtiaz Ibne Alam

Medical content writing services

Before you commission more medical content, let’s make sure it’s the right content.

A patient or caregiver reading your article online or taking a leaflet home should know what to do next. A clinician reading your white paper needs to see what the evidence supports. I plan and write your medical content around those needs.

Send a topic or draft. I’ll suggest an approach and give you a quote.

Sinocare · Diabetes education and glucose monitoring

Patient education, from food choices to glucose meter troubleshooting

I’ve worked with Sinocare since 2022, researching and ghostwriting blog articles on living with diabetes and home blood glucose monitoring. I review medical literature and check claims, then explain topics such as unexpected readings and meter error messages for patients and caregivers. My work also includes custom infographics and guidance on relevant Sinocare products.

ITMedical · Through DKMD Consulting

Constant Therapy Health · Through DKMD Consulting

A patient’s story of stroke recovery

Diana Boni’s story follows her return to work as an attorney after a stroke. I developed the article from her recorded interview and provided medical writing and data interpretation support for a related single-patient case study manuscript. The published article credits me as “Imtiaz Alam, RPh” and lists Danielle Kelvas, MD, as the medical reviewer.

OMT Training · Working with Giles Gyer since 2015

Books and clinical teaching materials

My work with Giles Gyer includes research and ghostwriting for three peer-reviewed literature reviews, six published books, blogs and course materials for OMT Training. I also developed about 100 teaching slide decks for manual therapy courses, handling everything from literature research to finished presentations. Topics include spinal manipulative therapy and dry needling.

Cardinal Health Regulatory Sciences · Through Skyword

Regulatory capacity and pharmaceutical quality

I wrote a white paper explaining how a dedicated full-time equivalent (FTE) consulting model can help pharmaceutical regulatory teams manage changing workloads without hiring permanent staff. My feature articles examined FDA complete response letters for cell and gene therapies and how achieving quality management maturity (QMM) can provide a strategic advantage in pharmaceutical manufacturing. These assignments involved interpreting current regulatory guidance and explaining its implications for industry leaders.

AmplifyMD · Through DKMD Consulting

Virtual specialty care for health system leaders

AmplifyMD’s white paper examines how virtual specialty care can help hospitals address specialist shortages. I brought together healthcare workforce research and hospital case studies to explain the role of AI and automation in virtual care. The paper also covers staffing and costs, along with practical steps for health systems considering adoption.

NokiAI · Through DKMD Consulting

Medical documentation and physician burnout

This white paper I wrote evaluated how administrative workloads, especially medical charting, lead to physician burnout and demonstrated where Noki’s AI scribes could help. The paper explains speech-to-text charting and how the platform fits into existing electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical workflows.

AirGas Therapeutics · Through DKMD Consulting

Clinician experiences with inhaled nitric oxide

I used recorded interviews with respiratory care teams at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and Carle Health to write testimonial articles about their switch to ULSPIRA inhaled nitric oxide therapy. I also turned both stories into a two-page summary for a B2B audience, covering equipment use and staff training alongside the estimated cost savings the team reported.

What I bring to the table?

Give readers a reason to read your content and trust your brand

Don’t fall in the trap of faster and cheaper content

Generating content at scale has never been easier, thanks to LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude. But beneath the polished AI output, there are layers upon layers of fault lines that can jeopardize your brand value and ruin the trust your customers have in your products.

The problem isn’t that there’s something wrong with AI. It’s the opposite! AI is an extremely powerful tool. You can now use it to do many tasks that a full-time employee would otherwise handle. But what’s hard to contain is AI’s inherent nature to make mistakes and make things up.

And when you put AI in action, what even harder to control are the following:

  • Consistent stylometric footprints in AI-generated text
  • Watermarked text (applies to both Claude and ChatGPT)
  • Overly formulaic tone and predictable prose
  • Repetitive sentence structures
  • Low-value and shallow content
  • Nonstandard medical and scientific terminology
  • Poor word choice, vague verbs and awkward sentences
  • Repetition of same arguments
  • Unnecessary modifiers and unnatural transitions
  • Repeated prompting and refinement loops
  • Hallucinated facts and scientific references
  • Claims supported by incorrect sources or citation
Still think publishing automated AI-generated output under your brand’s name adds value to your audience?

Google is paying attention too

Google’s scaled-content policy now punishes low-value or thin content produced in bulk mainly to manipulate rankings. Its guidance on AI content also strongly emphasizes the need for manual review and fact-checking before publication.

Google researchers have introduced SAFE (Scaled Abuse Forensics Examiner), a multi-agent architecture that investigates coordinated synthetic video abuse through content and publishing patterns across channels. Although its use in Google Search is yet to be confirmed, the latest spam updates in August and September 2026 give a hint of using a similar architecture to exclude scaled AI content from search results.

For your website, the scaled-content policy already gives you a reason to reconsider publishing AI-generated generic content.

Don’t gamble with your brand’s reputation or your customers’ trust

AI can generate articles in seconds. That’s the easiest part of all. The most difficult part is deciding whether they are worth publishing. Your brand’s name and reputation are at stake. So before you hit publish, ask yourself:

  • Is the article well-researched?
  • Do all the claims come from reliable and authentic sources?
  • Are the facts and stats detailed in the article supported by cited sources?
  • Is it using non-standard medical terms?
  • Has it invented or generalized medical terms? If so, where?
  • Has it hallucinated facts or fabricated non-existent sources?
  • Does the prose feel off and awkward in places?
What's the point of publishing an article if the sources don't back up its claims or some of the facts and stats are completely made up?
Wouldn't it make more sense to hire someone who's spent years writing patient-facing articles and knows how to deliver accurate medical information to the right audience?

Let’s put your content budget to better use

I’ll take a close look at what your readers need and what your existing content already covers. We can also see whether your old articles deserve a place in your content plan. Sometimes, you may get more from updating an existing piece than publishing another generic one.

Already have AI-generated drafts? Send them to me before they go live. I’ll check the medical claims against their cited sources and rewrite passages to remove the generic AI voice and tone.

Writing journal manuscripts and drafting medical book chapters is part of my regular work. Critically appraising clinical studies and interpreting their findings are also areas where I have extensive experience.

I bring that same discipline to your medical articles and patient education materials. The added bonus you’d get is my 15+ years of medical writing experience, along with the clinical judgment and intuition I’ve developed over the years.

How we’ll work

You can also bring an existing draft, including an AI-assisted one.

We agree on the scope, fee and deadline. I research and write the content, then revise it with your feedback.
